Broin Companies completes its 23rd plant

Business Week is reporting about a new plant in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Tate & Lyle PLC said it plans to build a $260 million ethanol plant in the north-central Iowa town of Fort Dodge which will product 100 million gallons.

The Sioux City Journal is reporting that Plymouth Energy LLC has asked to rezone 57 acres in Merrill, Iowa from transitional agriculture to industrial.

AgriTechnology Montana tries again

AgriTechnology Montana changing its name to Montana Ethanol Project and requesting to modify and reactivate its air permit. The plant would use feed-grade barley and wheat to produce 125 million gallons of ethanol a year.

Global Ethanol is building a plant in Lakota, Iowa

Global Ethanol says they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with local farmers in Iowa to build a plant that will produce 380 million litres a year of ethanol. The new plant will be 96.5km from the Midwest Grain Processors Cooperative ethanol plant at Lakota, Iowa, in which the company took a 60 per cent stake in April.

Air Force to test natural gas/coal fuel
